Project Connect
Unifying the Community
About Us
How many times have you come across a person that was homeless? Do you ignore them? Give them money? Buy them food? Do you ever have a conversation with them? As human beings, regardless of ability, socioeconomic status, or intelligence, we need emotional connections with other human beings. Project Connect ABQ is a group that provides the opportunity for human connection between the homeless and anyone else in the community. Over a meal in a safe setting, people come together and have conversations without judgement. The goal is not to convince others to clean up or get off the streets. The goal is to be a listening audience to a group of people that are often ignored. The goal is to help everyone in Albuquerque feel human and accepted. Let's make Albuquerque a close, positive community!
